Who we are

We areone of the major market leaders in supply chain logistics in South Africa. Established in 1910, we’ve optimised supply chains for more than a century.

Bidvest International Logistics, a proudly South African Company, is owned by The Bidvest Group Ltd (“Bidvest”) (89%) and The Makana Investment Corporation (Pty) Ltd (“MIC”) (11%). Bidvest and MIC have been partners for the past 20 years, which demonstrates Bidvest’s commitment to the transformation and the empowerment of South Africans. The MIC was established by the late, former President, Nelson Mandela, to look after the families of former political prisoners. Previously known as Bidvest Panalpina Logistics (BPL), we’re proud that as of early 2020, we trade as Bidvest International Logistics. What’s also exciting is that we have joined forces with EMO Trans Global Logistics (EMO Trans), which means that our local knowledge is complemented by their global reach. We are confident that the customer centric focus and global service offering that EMO Trans boasts will enable us to provide a better service offering to our clients.

We’re located at every major port and airport in South Africa, and in partnership with EMO Trans, we offer you an international network of 250 offices in 120 countries.
